My Favorite Places to Shop on Cape Cod
One of the best parts about Cape Cod is that you’ll mostly only find small, locally owned shops. Large box retailers are limited—especially on the Outer Cape—which means shopping here feels more personal, intentional, and connected to the community.
Here are some of my favorite places to shop on Cape Cod.
Art + Local Makers
-
Irene’s Little Art Shop (Provincetown / MacMillan Pier)
Located right on the pier, this is one of the most unique shopping experiences on Cape Cod. You’re not even stepping away from your beach day—you’re shopping right over the water. The shop is filled with handmade and hand-designed pieces by a local artist Irene Lynch, surrounded by other small art stands and waterfront views. It’s a must-stop if you’re walking the pier in Provincetown.

A Few Final Notes
Shopping on Cape Cod is different from most places—you’re not just going from store to store, you’re exploring entire town centers, walking historic streets, and discovering shops tucked into seaside villages.
One of my favorite ways to spend a day is to follow Route 6A or Main Street in any Cape town and simply pop in and out of shops as something catches my eye. It’s slow, it’s intentional, and it’s part of what makes Cape Cod feel so special.
Because here, shopping isn’t just about what you buy—it’s about where you are when you find it.
